Letting go and acceptance

Letting go goes hand in hand with acceptance. One does not occur without the other.  Letting go is opening the hand.  Acceptance is what the open hand receives.

letting go of suffering

People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar.

letting go- the key to

I have posted several times on the subject of letting go, after much much podering and struggling one thing has become clear to me. I cannot let go, or find it hard to because I have not taken responsibility/ownership of the thing I want to achieve, I am hoping that someone else will help me, show me the way or fix it for me.

Once I take responsibility for the change I want to make in my life, I can really own it, focussing on what I want to learn, practising everyday and testing myself as I go along.

Letting go, and Freedom

For a person who claims she needs to let go.. I seem to ponder the subject all the time..really now sounds like I am not getting the point of letting go. ;-D

Today I realized its far more complicated than simply flicking a swith from "not letting go" to "letting go" :-) The outcome of letting go is freedom, and to me "being free" is far scarier than being bound.

How absurd does that sound, I would rather be bound by my demons and issues, cling to old habits and harmful persons rather than let go and risk being flung into the unknown realm of freedom.

Today I commit to exploring freedom versus binding, and laughter versus brooding. More on the outcomes later.

Letting go.. again

This is something I keep running into.. and its funny.. I dont seem to learn how to do it. Perhaps that is why it chases me so.

I came across an interesting website called "Personal development" that explains quite well the process of letting go..

For the less you carry, the further you go, so let go

Letting go once again

Letting go.. has become a major theme in my life, almost everything I read, hear or watch is urging me gently, nudging me to let go. So in light of that I thought these few lines would be apt.

Do everything with a mind that lets go.
Do not expect any praise or reward.
If you let go a little, you will have a little peace.
If you let go a lot, you will have a lot of peace.
If you let go completely, you will know complete peace and freedom.
Your struggles with the world
will have come to an end.
