Replacing

People always talk about "out with the old, and in with the new". It makes me think, perhaps if we are going to push one thing out, and bring another thing in, what if we replaced all the hate, bitterness, spite, anger, and self-servitude in our hearts and in our lives with "love", "kindness", "patience", "forgiveness", "service" and "acceptance". Afterall, arent we all simply vessels to be filled with whatever God chooses to give us and to take away at his will?
