Two keys to a lasting relationship

There are two keys to a lasting relationship of any kind-

LOVE (a-ga-pe). This love is greater than affectionate, familial, romantic or sexual love. It is a love that is unconditionally given, independent of whether the recipient is deserving of it or not. It enables us to continue putting up with one another, and forgiving freely. In fact, intense love covers all faults mistakes, its doesnt eliminate them, simple covers them.

RESPECT- is in taking the lead to giving consideration to others and honoring them at all times. To honor someone, is to be kind to that person, respectful of that one's dignity and expressed views, and ready to fulfill any reasonable request made to you. Respect is shown by keeping an eye out not only for personal interests but more importantly the interests of those we are in a relationship with. Further, each should respect the dignity of the other by not making that one the object of demeaning comments or jokes, whether in public or in private.
