voyage of discovery

The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes. - Marcel Proust This seems simple yet very hard to do. having "new eyes" is a struggle for me. I easily fall prey to old patterns, habits, conditioning. Interestingly I will believe that I have a new perspective, then wen presented with some of the usual challenges I become easily provoked and forget all about kindness and my practice of peace, and the beast is unleashed.
